Falling behind . . .

Yes, it's true. I am falling behind with my Year of Jewelry. Between the craziness of work and home life, and lack of funds, YoJ may have to take a backseat. It is definitely not from lack of inspiration. I have designs for the next month worth of jewelry - just no financial means to execute them, sadly. If only my website were generating more traffic and sales . . . .

"Australia"

My first attempt at wire-wrapping. This is an opal-esque focal bead wrapped with 24g German silver. My photography skills still need to be developed. Any tips? Maybe if I bought a light tent, and had a better camera?? Maybe next Christmas.

I recreated the traditional Capricorn Zodiac Sign with 16 gauge German Silver wire (copper core).

Set-back - Already???

Yeah, So I started the Year of Jewelry with the wrong set of themes! Figures LOL I found the right themes, and now have to rethink my strategies. Will probably post them both anyways. Just to see what I can accomplish. Thanks for all the support!

Year of Jewelry - 2008

Well this year isn't starting out as well as I had planned. I never got pictures of Shirley's bracelet, so I couldn't post that as my first week's project. I did write a short blurb about it though. Maybe I can order some new crystals and throw one together. we'll see though. I entitled Week One "I (think) I can do this . . . " Quite appropriately if you ask me. Week Two is "Something New" and Week Three is "Growing Up". Projects are due on Sundays, and this is now Monday of Week Two. I have yet to take any pictures of new pieces to post. The next two week's themes are "Simple" and "My Signature". I have an idea for "Simple", but have no clue what my signature is! LOL I guess I haven't developed my own style of anything just yet. Maybe Swarovski is my signature . . .
Oh well, I'll figure something out, I always do! Happy January!
